Acting on principles is fundamental to our faith. Many initiatives are underway at this congregation to heal society and our planet:

• Anti-Racism work

• Asylum seeker accompaniment team to house and support an asylum seeker or family currently in ICE custody

• Promoting democracy

• The “Sandwich Squad” to provide food for persons in counseling centers and shelters

• The “Share the Plate” monthly collection for a local organization worth supporting

• An “LGBTQ Welcoming Congregation” under UU guidelines

• Climate action education workshops and involvement at the city level

• Community garden providing over 2 tons of fresh produce to the local food bank each year

• The “Guest at Your Table” collection at the end of each year to support the UUA’s justice work at the denominational level

• Holiday toy drive donations to the Tri-City Volunteers

• The UU “Common Read” book discussion on a justice topic

• Unitarian Universalist justice newsletters from our regional and national bodies
