Children and Youth
Religious Education 2026-2027
We always welcome new faces! If your family is exploring congregations, reach out to Ariel at dre@mpuuc.org for additional information.
Children’s Programming happens every 2nd and 3rd Sunday of the month. Children are invited to Classroom 1 in the Ockerman building for Children’s Chapel where we:
- circle up
- sing songs
- share our “glads and sads”
- practice mindfulness
- hear a story
- learn what it means to be Unitarian Universalist
On the second Sunday of each month we all begin in the service together at 10AM. Early in the program we invite anyone “young or young at heart” to come forward for the Time for All Ages, when we offer a story or lesson that’s relatable to the kids. Below is a recent video of our annual Backpack Blessing, offered at the start of the school year, to remind our children and youth that they are loved here, that our love goes with them beyond the walls of this congregation and that they can come and receive love here anytime they need it.
Children are welcome at our service every Sunday. Early in the service there is a (story) time for all ages. There is a children’s area available in the back of the sanctuary if children and their adults are more comfortable there.

Our Director of Multigenerational Community Building is always happy to discuss any aspects of our program with anyone who is interested. Please email dre@mpuuc.org if you have any questions or feedback.

We like to make time for art!

We sometimes help in the adjacent garden and we LOVE our snacks!
