We have transitioned to virtual services and meetings because of the Coronavirus pandemic. See bottom of page for more details.

The first section of this page is about how to connect to our Sunday services. The second section is about how to connect to our open meetings such as our Coffee Chats and Virtual Children and Youth Religious Education meetings.

Sunday Services at 10AM

On Sunday, November 1, at 2 am, daylight saving time ends

Please review this page each week because the links may change and we plan to give information on how we will incorporate various aspects of the service such as Joys and Concerns.

To watch and hear the Sunday service remotely we will use Zoom which works with a computer, smartphone or a regular phone.

  • You may use zoom chat to share public joys and concerns before that section of the service.
  • You may use zoom chat to share feedback about the service (worship diary)
  • We will usually keep your connection muted.

Here is the Zoom invitation. For most people just click on this link from your computer or smartphone. If needed it will install the Zoom application and then connect you to the meeting. If you are using a regular phone or a basic cell phone there is a phone number to dial into zoom and a meeting ID to input when prompted to connect to the meeting.

After Service Discussion for Oct. 25

After the worship service, in place of our usual Coffee Hour, we will break into racial affinity groups to discuss the import of the attack on our Black Lives Matter banner and our feelings about it. There will be separate groups based on your self-identification as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color) or White. Then we will reconvene all together. For more information the discussion and why we break out into these groups see this weeks – Week on the Peak or go to the article about the discussion and racial affinity groups. Below is the connection information to the groups that will also be shared in the zoom chat at the end of the service.

New Ministry Start Up for all Members and Friends

Mark Your Calendars! October 24, 9:00am – 12:00pm. All members and friends are welcome. There’s a third part that becomes important after the first two parts are in place. The first two parts? 1) Be a great congregation! 2) Find a great minister!  The third part is about how we put them together? What does Rev. Greg need to learn about MPUUC to prepare him to support us so we’re at our best? What about Rev. Greg will help us know how to support him and forge a strong partnership? This is a workshop with Melissa James, our Regional Staff person who will help us move beyond assumptions, toward commitment and partnership. More information at https://mpuuc.org/new-ministry-start-up-on-saturday/.

This year we will be doing our RE program virtually for the safety of our teachers and students. We will have three age groups this year. Following the commitment made at our last congregational meeting to make anti-racism education a priority for the upcoming year our RE program will focus on age appropriate anti-racism and anti-oppression curriculum as part of our UU Curriculum Cycle. The littles, which is infant to 2nd grade, will only meet on the 4th Sunday of the month at 9am for a pre-worship story time and chat. They will also receive a story book video and questions the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month to watch when they can. The middles, which is 3rd grade to 7th grade, will meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month over zoom at 1pm. This group will be using a modified version of Heading the Call. Lastly the youths, which is 8th-12th grade, will meet over zoom on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month and will be using a modified version of the Be the Change curriculum. Youth group will continue to be led by Alexa and Eric D., but we will need volunteers to lead story time with The Littles on the 4th Sunday and volunteers to lead small group ministry with The Middles. If you are interested in volunteering please email Shawn, they will also be sending out a sign-up sheet to previous teachers. Training will be provided and volunteering will be greatly rewarded 🙂 To register your child(ren) or youth(s) please complete this google form.
