From Anger to Action: Meaningfully Protecting Marginalized Communities

At least in some circles it’s become almost cliché to assert that marginalized communities — especially though not exclusively immigrants and LGBTQ+ people — are increasingly under threat. What’s discussed far less often is what we all ought to do in response and how we tangibly stand up for our marginalized neighbors. Awareness of societal injustice is a first, but certainly not a last, step — we must turn our anger and our frustration into action. On the local level especially, we often can have an outsized impact to bring about safer, more inclusive, and more just communities for everyone.
