Mission Peak UU Hires new DRE

The Director of Religious Education (DRE) search committee is excited to introduce our new 1/2 time DRE, JeKaren Taylor. The DRE search committee unanimously selected JeKaren and the board unanimously approved our selection.

JeKaren most recently served as the DRE at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Stanislaus County in Modesto. Prior to that, she served as an interim DRE at High Street Unitarian Universalist Church in Macon, GA. JeKaren received her BA from Mercer University in Macon, GA.

Based on her DRE positons and other jobs she has held,  JeKaren brings skills such as organization,  use of on-line tools for communication, recruitment experience, and has an understanding of how UU religious education programs work.  During our interview with her, she was friendly and poised.

JeKaren starts May 1st. Her first Sunday at Mission Peak UU will be May 7th. Please give her a warm Mission Peak UU welcome!

The search committee members were: Shyno Chacko (chair), Steve Wallcave , Megan McMillen, Natalie Campbell and Kathrine Alm (youth group representative).
