What do Martin Luther King, Jr. Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Howard Zinn, Maya Angelou, Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thornburg all have in common? They were / are all community organizers. That is to say, they responded to injustice imposed by the powerful upon the powerless. But don’t think that any of these people had all the power or all the answers. They didn’t. They drew on the power and the brilliance of ordinary people until their numbers gave them extraordinary influence. They called forth people to discover the Love at the Center and then leveraged that Love to build what none of them could do separately.
