Mental Health Prejudice and Discrimination
We taped two shows that deal with mental health prejudice and discrimination
In the first show, two people are interviewed, one whose son has schizophrenia, and one with mental health problems talk about how they have experienced the prejudice and discrimination due to mental illness and how they get through it, giving a message of hope. Taped March 17,2007.
In the second show, guests Joseph Robinson, Program Manager for California Mental Health Services Authority, and PEERS Outreach Coordinator Kenneth Kozi Arrington share their personal experiences with stigma and explain how stigma impacts people’s lives and legislation.
