Rev. Barbara F. Meyers volunteers at John George Psychiatric Pavilion once a month as part of the Reach-Out program. The purpose of Reach-Out is to connect with people in psychiatric hospitals and board and care facilities to ease the isolation many people in these settings face and assist in their transition back to the community.  Reach-Out volunteers have all themselves experienced living in board and care facilities and/or psychiatric hospitalization and therefore understand the loneliness and isolation many people in these facilities face.
